During the month of July, the Darul Ihsan Humanitarian Centre conducted several successful feeding schemes through the ‘Feed the Needy’ initiative.
On Thursday, 27 July, the Darul Ihsan Humanitarian Centre’s Islamic counselling department Guideline – together with the Daughters of the Ummah youth group – hosted a successful event at Orient Islamic School.
On Tuesday, 18 July, the Darul Ihsan Humanitarian Centre Relief Team visited the Lamas Daycare Centre in Newlands East, Durban, donating blankets and snack packs to the children during this winter season.
As part of the Darul Ihsan Humanitarian Centre Relief Team’s ongoing outreach to serving impoverished communities, three creches were visited in and around the north of Durban this cold season.
There are many unfortunate ones in our community who silently suffer from the disastrous effects of acute social deprivation. Some of the maladies responsible for this sad state of affairs are:- Poverty; Joblessness; Different types of illnesses; and more seriously Depression; Anxiety; and Other mental disorders.
On Sunday, 14th May 2023, Darul Ihsan Humanitarian Centre hosted “The Ruya Project” at Madrasatul Ihsan in Sea Cow Lake, Durban.

During the month of May, the Acting Centre Manager of the Thembalethu Care Centre in Lamontville expressed heartfelt gratitude for the Darul Ihsan Humanitarian Centre’s (DHC) ongoing support of the institute over the years.
The Lamontville Thembalethu Care Centre is a day care centre for orphaned and vulnerable children. The centre also caters for grandmother-headed and destitute families, as well as single parents.
Sea Cow Lake, Durban: Darul Ihsan Humanitarian Centre hosted well known scholar of Hadith, Hazrat Moulana Imdaadullah Saheb (DB) of Karachi for 2 days, on 13 and 14 May 2023.
That “food-gardening” is a vital need of the hour, is universally acknowledged. Many experienced farmers, horticulturists and other food producers have been constantly warning that there will soon come a time when: “…only those who’ve befriended the ground (soil) will survive.”
During the start of May, Feed the Needy – a Darul Ihsan initiative to provide meals to the underprivileged – has distributed over 1000 hot meals.
Through its outreach programmes, Darul Ihsan Humanitarian Centre is constantly working towards supporting the community at large. The Guideline Counselling department sought to get involved and bring joy to some of our senior citizens for Eid-al-Fitr 1444.
This Monday; 10 April 2023; the Daughters of the Ummah (DOU) group hosted an event at the Darul Ihsan Centre in Sea Cow Lake for the Muslimah youth titled ‘Fikr for Zikr’.
