October school holidays may be cancelled

South Africa’s education authorities have proposed cancelling the October school holidays to make up for lost teaching time caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.

AU criticised for Israel move

The decision to grant Israel observer status by the African Union (AU) has been criticised by MP Mandla Mandela.
