Pensioners, disability grantees as well as those that reside in child-headed households who receive a property rates rebate are expected to complete the survey form that will be posted to them with their utility bill.

The survey is being conducted to determine whether an add-on rebate is necessary and also contributes to decipher the benefits for future rates calculations.

Deputy Head of Customer Services, Thobeka Ndwandwe stated that the survey is a must and critical information is required.

The survey does not affect customer’s current rebates and is for statistical purposes only.

‘The Municipality would like to clarify that the renewal form that has been sent out is only applicable for the current pensioner, child headed and disability rebates recipients and not for the registration of property rates which is still subject to approval.’
