A project to boost KwaZulu-Natal’s economy is expected to launch by KZN Transport, Community Safety and Liaison MEC; Sipho Hlomuka; and eThekwini Municipality mayor, Mxolisi Kaunda.
With an investment value of over R500 million, the project aims to improve infrastructure; namely the deteriorating roads across the province. This infrastructure rehabilitation initiative will begin with the Assagay and Alverstone intersection, which has been severely damaged by torrential rains and is due for an upgrade.
The project will also provide short-term employment opportunities for locals in the area.
