In an effort to recover millions of rands worth of unpaid electricity, City Power has adopted a zero-tolerance policy towards illegal connections to its services.

 Level 3 disconnections – which entail disconnecting offenders as well as removing all municipal infrastructure from the property, including water meters – have been implemented in both residential and business properties.
The city is set to intensify action against illegal connections of water and electricity citywide within the new few days and weeks.
