During August, Women’s Month, many events took place throughout the country in efforts to raise awareness and fight against gender-based violence (GBV) issues.

On Tuesday morning in Soweto, next week, President Cyril Ramaphosa will take the fight against GBV to young men and boys in the event titled ‘Presidential Young Men and Boys Indaba’. This will offer the president a platform to address and engage with male youth on the government’s progress to prevent gender-based violence in schools.

The event will also feature a talk on positive masculinity among high school leaners, which aims to cultivate a nation of good men.
