A thoughtful passenger journey this Holy Month with Emirates

With the expectance of Ramadan this week, Emirates is preparing thousands of Iftar meal boxes for fasting passengers both onboard and at boarding gates, traditional Ramadan refreshments and meals in the lounges, and an array of religious content and Ramadan series on ice.

From 22 March, Emirates passengers breaking their fast across all cabin classes to select destinations will receive Ramadan meal boxes, which include thoughtful, nutritionally balanced meals, served in bespoke boxes to represent the rich Emirati heritage of the Al Sadu weavers.

The Ramadan meal boxes include light dishes and starters, such as hummus and spinach bil zeit, Greek salad and cauliflower bil tahini, and falafel sandwiches, to name a few. They will also include staples such as traditional dates and laban.

A smaller Iftar box will also be served at the boarding gates at Iftar time, including essentialities to comfortably break one’s fast.

During the Holy Month, Emirates’ Ramadan and Iftar boxes will be served to complement the regular hot meal service. They will be served during times that coincide with Iftar, on flights to and from the Gulf region, as well as flights catering to Umrah groups during the month of Ramadan.

Passengers may also check in one bottle of Zamzam water – which contains up to 5 litres per person – at Dubai International Airport and various airports in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
