We distributed the items to different families which live in different place for example in Belgravia estate, Parow, Gatesville, Athlone, Bellville, Langa and other surrounding areas. Among them like in Bellville included many children who represented their mothers who are single parents and some of them were orphans as seen in some of the pictures which were attached. We also provided food parcels to more than 35 families in an area called Nomzamo in the Summerset West areas. The unique thing about these families is that they are all reverts. We have our sheikh who goes there every three days in a week to teach them the Deen and they have been so great because of the love they have for their Deen.
We intend Insha-Allah in future to build a Madrassa and a small mosque so that they perform prayers there and send their children for Madrassa.
The people who benefitted where around 50 in Belgravia Estate and Athlone, 20 in Gatesville, 60 in Bellville, 10 in Milnerton areas, 20 in Langa and more than 30 people in the surrounding areas and the other parcels as explained earlier were distributed to the revert families in Nomzamo in Summerset West.
They expressed their gratitude for all the items they were given.
On behalf of the Muslim Refugees Association of South Africa, I would like to thank you and the entire Darul Ihsan Centre team for the assistance you have given us and please we continue asking you to always put us in your future programs Insha-Allah because we have a great number of refugees who are looking at us for assistance.
