About 200 youth, including Huffaz, students and Ulama converged at Masjid ut Taqwa in Sea Cow Lake for the ‘Youth Night’ programme - hosted by the ‘Youth of the Ummah’ (‘Y.O.U.’) department of Darul Ihsan Centre on Saturday, 12 July 2014/14 Ramadan.

The Muslim Empowerment Fund of Darul Ihsan Centre, began its annual ‘Sponsor-a Blanket’ campaign in Ficksburg on Tuesday, 29 April 2014.
The Youth of Durban converged at Hartley Road Primary School in Overport for the ‘6-A-Side Soccer Tournament’ hosted by the Darul Ihsan Centre’s ‘Youth of the Ummah’ division on Saturday, 01 March 2014. The youth, who were accompanied by their respective team leaders and Ulama, participated in the arranged football fixture and other development activities.
Continuing with its education drive to enlighten Muslims on important matters, the Darul Ihsan Social Department held a free short marriage course titled ‘The Road to Marriage’ on Saturday 15 February 2014. The programme was well received and encompassed a wide range of discussions pertaining to marriage.
Now in its 4th year, the ‘Youth of the Ummah’ (‘YOU’) held a special programme for varsity students on 14 February 2014 at the various tertiary campuses in KZN. The programme was strategically held on the first Friday of the academic year coinciding with the Jumuah lecture.
It was a day of joy for many scholars at the Mariathal School, about 5 km away from the town of Ixopo.
Shaykh Muhiyudeen Awwamah, the son of well-known Madina-based scholar, Sheikh Muhammad Awwamah (Hafizahullah) intiated the idea of this unique conference which was hosted for the first time in Turkey. The conference held form 16 to 21 January in Azaadville , South Africa was the second conference of its kind organised by Sheykh Muhiyudeen that incorporated the Imam Nanotwi International Award.

A long awaited programme to once again acknowledge the selfless services of our respected mothers and sisters who assist Darul Ihsan on an on-going basis was held on Tuesday, 12 November 2013 at the NMJ Islamic Centre in Morningside. A congregation of close to six hundred volunteers many of whom are associated with the ‘Feed-a-Pupil ‘ and ‘Feed-a-Patient’ projects attended the programme that culminated in a sumptuous lunch. The pro bono services and contributions of those present were acknowledged and motivation towards steadfastness and sincerity was delivered.
