On Thursday, 25 April, the Darul Ihsan Humanitarian Centre successfully conducted a feeding scheme at the Boxwood Informal Settlement, Sea Cow Lake, Durban.
A total of 450 hot meals were distributed to residents during the lunch period. Community members provided invaluable assistance with crowd control, allowing the team to efficiently hand out meals.
The distribution lasted two hours, and ended with the successful provision of sustaining meals to residents of all ages.
Feed the Needy – a Darul Ihsan Humanitarian Centre initiative – has been received with gratitude and appreciation by the several underprivileged communities it has served since its inception. With the help of generous donations and valuable staff and volunteers, hot meals can be provided to those in need.
Those looking to be a part of the scheme may contact the Darul Ihsan Centre on 031 577 7868 for more information.
