Over 40,500 hot meals were distributed, including 10,500 kilograms of kajoor (dates), 900 grocery packs, and almost 2,000 litres of fresh haleem (soup).
Iftar feeding took place at 17 different venues, including masjids and musallas in Bester, Newlands West, Effingham, Folweni, Greenwood Park, Inanda, Reservoirhills, Kenville, Lakedale, Malagazi, Mayville, Parlock, Puntans Hill, Seaview, Sea Cow Lake, Umlazi and Westrich.
Additionally, on Eid day, 2,850 meals were distributed across 12 venues, including Castle Hill, Effingham, Greenwood Park, Folweni, Inanda, Kenville, Malagazi, Mayville, Puntans Hill, Seaview, Umlazi E Section, and Westrich.
It is with the generous contributions from the community that the Darul Ihsan Humanitarian Centre can continue these feeding outreach schemes. With the gracious help of staff and volunteers, the centre hopes to continue to assist and uplift families and individuals for many more years to come.
