Caring for approximately 200 residents who comprise predominantly of the aged, semi-frail, frail, mentally and physically disabled adults as well as children and young adults severely affected by cerebral palsy, the KZNCA offers tireless and around-the-clock intensive care. With increasing costs, however, the Home has struggled to continue purchasing the required equipment for patients.
Because of this, the specialised wheelchair was greatly welcomed, and has already made a huge difference in the life of one of the Home’s residents, who personally conveyed thanks to the Centre and outreach team.
The Darul Ihsan Humanitarian Centre hopes to continue providing aid, dignity, and upliftment to vulnerable groups and communities with future assistance.
