Led by Wonder Academy’s Head, Mariam Amra, the teams were welcomed warmly by Team Care Assist. After an introduction acknowledging the role players in and purpose of their visit by a pupil, other students planned a short, entertaining programme for the senior citizens.
Surah Fatiha was recited with the English translation by pupils, followed by a poem that touched the hearts of the senior ladies.
Lastly, the students - together with their educators - handed out gifts to the elderly ladies, each of which included: a snack pack of chips, sweets, bottled water and biscuits, a rose, a bookmark, and a boxed muffin.
The students were provided an opportunity to interact with the senior citizens during this segment, giving them encouragement through loving and caring actions, inspiring both smiles and tears of joy from them.
The pupils and educators thanked Darul Ihsan Centre’s Outreach Team for arranging this visit, expressing their profound appreciation and enthusiasm for future projects together.
The Team Care Management expressed their thanks to the Darul Ihsan Centre and Wonder Academy for choosing their facility to provide an entertaining and wonderful afternoon for the senior ladies.
Darul Ihsan Centre hopes to continue providing these opportunities, and is committed to helping communities in need.
