A: ‘Tamleek’ is a requirement for the proper discharge of Sadaqatul Fitr. Therefore, simply preparing a meal and serving it to a recipient/s does not fulfill the obligation. Consequently, Sadaqatul Fitr will not be considered discharged in such a case. However, if the food is given to a recipient/s packed in containers, in a manner that he takes full possession of the item, then this will fulfill the requirement of Tamleek, and the obligation shall be discharged.
